Access
To access the Assignment Analytics Page, follow these steps:
- Go to the ‘Assignments’ Page
- Find the assignment you want to analyze and click on the ‘Analytics’ icon next to it.
Assignment Overview
- Students Active in Course: Displays the total number of students who logged in to the course on Alethea.
- Students Active in Assignment: Shows the number of students who actively worked on the assignment.
- Submission Rate: Indicates the percentage of students who have submitted their assignments out of the students active in the course.
- Average Time of Engagement: Provides the average time students spent on the assignment, referring to students who were active in the assignment.
Submission Statuses
The pie chart shows the status of all submissions (e.g., on time, late, missed), calculated based on students active in the course.
You can use the switch to indicate incomplete assignments.
- On Time: Percentage of assignments submitted on or before the due date.
- Late: Assignments submitted after the due date.
- Missed: Assignments not submitted.
- Incomplete: Assignments that were submitted but partially completed.
Engagement Time
The pie chart shows students' time allocation, calculated based on students active in the assignment.
- Step 1: Read and Highlight: Average time spent on reading and highlighting the assigned reading material.
- Step 2: Review and Chat: Average time spent on reviewing the highlights and participating in discussion with the Academic Coach.
- Step 3: Answer: Average time spent on answering the assignment questions.
Question Breakdown
- Question Details: Each question is listed with its type (e.g., Open Ended).
- Student Performance: Shows the average grade for each question, and a comparison between students' highlights to instructor's highlights (only in case highlights were marked by the instructor when creating the assignment).
- Heatmap: Visual representation of class highlights, showing areas where students were most engaged.
- Student Answers: Concentration of all student responses to each question.
Grades
Grade Distribution: Visual representation of the distribution of grades among students, helping you quickly assess overall class performance.
